ACD Support Line

ACD’s Support Line is a free telephone advocacy service for all Victorian families raising children with developmental delays and disabilities. No diagnosis is needed to use this service.

What support is available?

ACD’s Support Line is a free telephone advocacy service for all Victorian families raising children with developmental delays and disabilities. No diagnosis is needed to use this service.

ACD’s Support Line can help parents and carers directly. Professionals (such as Child and Family Service practitioners) are also able to contact the Support Line for a secondary consult.

ACD staff can help you to understand:

  • Children’s rights in education
  • What support is available at childcare and kindergarten
  • Reasonable adjustments – what they are and what you can ask for
  • How funding works
  • How to Support children through key transitions in their learning environment
  • How to approach meetings with education providers and advocate for children

The Support Line is open Monday – Friday 9 am to 5 pm, and interpreters are available.
